Formerly known as the 1210 series, these shoes will continue to provide excellent protection and an even better fit. Upper - Fantom Fit. The MTLEADv3 from New Balance is constructed with a breathable mesh to allow air to permeate the interior layers keeping the foot nice and cool. Fantom-Fit overlays Protect this fibre framework with an ultra-light support and fit, keeping the shoe's shape and form maintained from torsion. Coinciding with this feature, abrasion resistant support is integrated across the top eyelets and towards the toe protect box to reduce wear and tear from on coming rocks and roots and any other sharp debris. Securing the foot comfortably in place, Sure Lace delivers a more secure lace locking system for a tight fit and feel while a Padded Gusseted tongue and heel collar enhance comfort for better control. At the rear an internal ASYM heel counter has been added to support the Achilles through transition. This works by guiding the foot through a natural alignment and engaging the heel from impact strike right through to when you toe off again.
